Pool and Garden
The sea-green terrazzo of the 16.5 meter x 3.5 meter pool reflects the sea beyond, and the 10-seater jacuzzi is a natural extension of the main pool.
Sun worshippers will enjoy the comfortable loungers which line the poolside and the lawn.
The pool level also offers a day-time kitchen/café/bar, as well as a casual and comfortable seating area for coffee and poolside drinks throughout the day - so there's really no reason to move all day! At night, the state of the art lighting system transforms the café into a sophisticated bar area, where you can sample the cocktail menu, as the staff bring out freshly prepared and tempting snacks.
The main lawn flows on from the end of the pool. At 280 square meters, it's a great spot for croquet and other ballgames or, alternatively, as the venue for a garden party or a 6 course dinner for up to 50 people... the choice is yours.
The View Samui villa commands the entire headland promontory at Taling Ngam. It has private access down to two well-known beaches on either side:
- the long, soft sand beach which stretches to the North is in front of the Intercontinental resort (formerly the Meridien/ Baan Taling Ngam resort) and the Sunset View Resort, and is beautifully maintained by the resorts.
- the more local village beach to the South is the site of the famous Island View Restaurant (previously the Five Islands Restaurant), the simple dining and local massages of the Am Samui resort and the fascinating sights and sounds of the local fishermen.
The sea off the beaches has a thriving coral reef which is actively enjoyed by snorkelers, and there is a sandy-bottomed channel out through the reef directly off the beach in front of the villa.
The villa also has a hidden beachfront lawn nestled into a small bay, set directly back from the villa's private beach. This has a sun deck, a massage area and all the facilities for cooking and dining al fresco. Kayaks and other water toys are kept in a storage area close to the beach for easy access to the sea.
Pool and Garden Level
The 16.5m long infinity pool and 10-person jacuzzi are designed to embrace, not dominate the View. The pool is flanked by sunloungers, but the 20m shaded lounging area to one side of the pool is kept naturally cool by its rock wall setting. With the serenity of the famous Five Islands view as a permanent feature, and water cascading down the rock face there is no better setting to while away the days.
For entertaining and poolside meals, there is a kitchen/café/BBQ (with seating for 12-14) and a bar. The space is great for long lunches or casual meals with the kids during the day. But by night, sophisticated mood lighting and music transforms the setting to be a dramatic backdrop for evening entertainment.
The broad lawn provides plenty of space for ball games, sunloungers, garden parties or other activities, and equipment for beach and pool sports is available for your use.
And there are plenty of venues for pampering. A massage sala by the pool area is suitable for 2 people at any one time, but another sala by the beach allows a more secluded experience.
Lawns and Beaches
The main lawn, next to the pool, is a large 280 m2 plateau which is perfect for enjoying croquet or other ball games, or for lounging on the grass. The villa enjoys other hidden spaces at beach level. A private lawn fronts onto a small cove that, at higher tides, is only accessible from the View. This secret cove has a deck with loungers/massage beds and a BBQ for waterfront dinners.
And at night, this natural amphitheater can be transformed into an open air, waterfront cinema.
Kayaks and other water toys are also tucked away down here for your enjoyment.

"Once in a lifetime experience"
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2015 for a stay in March 2015
Our stay at the View was simply incredible, from the moment we were greeted by the beaming smiles of wonderful staff upon arrival to the exceptional standards of the villa to the incredible food. Everything about the villa exceeded all of our expectations and was no doubt a highlight of the trip to Samui.
Once we arrived we were given a delicious drink and a tour of the property, everyone was blown away by the attention to detail and the stunning architecture. We were then served up a delicious late night meal which was among the best meals we had on the trip.
We awoke the next day to breathtaking views of the 5 islands and Ang Thong and spent the day playing on the kayaks, and stand up paddle board, swimming in the pool and generally relaxing. The staff made a delicious pool side sunset BBQ on the 2nd evening - the perfect end of the stay which unfortunately couldn't be any longer!
